At 6:20 I catch the bus to Daren. I am the only passenger for a short time, then in the next villages or from hidden farms school children ( junior high school ) fill the bus to capacity. Everyone is curious to see a foreigner and they say 'Hello', 'Hi', 'How are you?', ' High boy, 'I love you', which goes for both boys and girls,' Where are you from?' In Dawu all children leave the bus waving and calling 'Good Bye'. At the local police station I inquire again if there is at least a small road or trail along the cost which I could walk between Daren and Syuhai, but also they give a negative answer. So I have no way, but to walk inland on No. 9 at first, because being alone I cannot risk to fall off some rocks along the coast and to spend the rest of my numbered days in solitude.
